Instructions to make Gujarati Mixed Dal:
  1. Wash the dal twice and drain the water. Pour 2 cup water into cooker. Add the mixed dal and salt. Stir once. Close cooker. Bring to full pressure on high heat. Reduce heat and cook for 3 minutes. Allow to cool. Open the lid and mash the dal.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp ghee. Fry 1 bay leaf, slit green chilly, cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon stick and green cardamom. Saute it for few minutes. Then add prepared masala. Fry for few minutes.
