- Then after soaking, in a mixie take red chilli, fennel seeds, ginger garlic paste, jeera and grind coarsely without adding water
- Then add the soaked Bengal gram in mixie along with already ground coarse mixture. Retain few Bengal gram say 2/3 tablespoon separately for mixing with ground bater. Grind the Bengal gram with out adding any water
- Transfer the ground mixture to a bowl along with retained soaked gram, salt, one finely chopped green chilli, onion and curry leaf and mix well. Please note do not add water at any stage
- Then apply some oil in hand and split the bater to rough size round balls and pat it flat in your hand and place it in a plate ready to fry as shown in below pic
- In a frying pan, pour oil allow it to heat and fry the vada for 7-8 mins until both sides is cooked well and mild brown colour is reached. Serve it hot with tea !
